Is there anyone that takes Mirtazapine + another antidepressant?……I take 37.5 Mirt at nightime, but am finding myself not too good in the morning & was wondering if anyone takes 2 different antidepressants ie in the evening & morning & if so is it helpful 😟

I have just started on Mirtazapine and i am finding it helps quite a lot, but the downside is the weight gain.

I take 37.5 mg at night, but don't know if I'm becoming to used to them now & they r not helping as they did initially, it's a bit of a trial & error game x

hi I’m surprised did the gp tell you it’s ok to take two different antidepressants?

My GP took me off Sertraline after 20 years and put me on 30mg of Mirtazapine, I’m not sure it is really working. I’ve given it 6 months as I know it can take a while for the Sertraline to leave the system & Mirtazapine to start working but I think I’ll have to get back to my GP as I frequently feel very ‘down’ and still have regular panic attacks as well as the weight gain!

I had a meltdown in a garden centre a couple of days ago - my PTSD was triggered and I had a massive panic attack. It was the first time I had been out of the house for a few weeks and my husband had to almost carry me out to the car. I felt such a fool! I have severe Osteoarthritis in most joints so have a ‘walker’ (I usually use a wheelchair, although I try not to use it if I can, especially if I’m just walking a few metres!).

Things are pretty awful at the moment - I worry about not being able to do things for myself and my husband has recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease which, although slight at the moment will eventually get worse over time. I worry that I won’t be able to look after him as & when he needs me after all, he has looked after me for all these years since my PTSD started and the Osteoarthritis developed!

I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to to go on about my woe’s when you all have much worse problems than me. Please accept my apologies.
