Are you on any medications? I'm just starting a new SSRI because my previous one stopped working after 17 years. It takes 4 - 6 or even 8 weeks to help. In the meantime, I use coping strategies to try to get through high anxiety/panic attacks. For me that's walking, doing crosswords, reading, deep breathing, crafting, anything that might distract me for awhile. Sometimes they don't work, though, so then I just keep going anyway even though I'm feeling miserable. Good luck. It seems there really isn't a quick fix.

Immediately - deep breathing

Tomorrow - ask doc for one of the -pans

Later in the week see if you can combo drugs w cognitive behavior therapy
