Hi. Do you mean running away from the problem or running as in the physical exercise?
as in physical excersize :/
You might feel the need to run, because you feel so much anxiety that it feels like it wants to come out of you. Running is a pretty physical thing, unlike reading a book or watching tv.
If you're feeling the need to run right when you are stressed, I think it is an immediate response, BC you need to get that feeling of the intense emotion out.
After you are finished running, you might also feel like you are less stressed and like your body has been "cleansed" of anxiety.
Hey aubs, at times when I get so much anxiety I also feel like running away or simy running. I get so much nervousness and stress inside that it's my mental response. Remember anxiety is your fight or flight system, so it makes sense that you could feel that way.
Exercise is a great de-stresser. Your clever body is telling you so, I reckon.
