I always feel like running whenever im overwhelmed or stressed out.... is that anybody else???

Hi. Do you mean running away from the problem or running as in the physical exercise?

You might feel the need to run, because you feel so much anxiety that it feels like it wants to come out of you. Running is a pretty physical thing, unlike reading a book or watching tv.

If you're feeling the need to run right when you are stressed, I think it is an immediate response, BC you need to get that feeling of the intense emotion out.

After you are finished running, you might also feel like you are less stressed and like your body has been "cleansed" of anxiety.

thats what it feels like it feels like that emotion is gone but it doesnt make sense on how i feel that way after running....im not even athletic and i physically run whenever i am overwhelmed

Hey aubs, at times when I get so much anxiety I also feel like running away or simy running. I get so much nervousness and stress inside that it's my mental response. Remember anxiety is your fight or flight system, so it makes sense that you could feel that way.

Not a problem. Sometimes people forget to mention that it's the fight or flight system being activated.
