I was on 5 mg Lexapro for eight weeks then went on 10 mg two weeks so far and have no relief how long should it take to totally kick in

Has anybody been on a low dose of Lexapro say 5 mg and after eight weeks went to 10 mg I am on it for two weeks now and still have no relief from my anxiety does anybody know how long it should take what is the most that you take for me to start feeling relief

Hi! I started with 10mgs Nov 1, 2020. It took 8-9 weeks until i felt "normal". I wanted to give up because of side effects, but kept reading comments to stick it out, and glad Idid! Year later, i'm still on 10mgs and feel great! hope you are getting exercise and keeping your mind occupied with music,reading or whatever you are in to. I would give it a bit longer, but we are all different. Good luck and God bless.

actually increased anxiety! LOL. But was very active physically and just kept my mine occupied with working out and music and scripture. After about 8 weeks, had a since of calmness. And at this writing, all is good!! Had actually thought about taparing off because i feel so good, but, no way. Not taking that chance not just yet! Hope this helps!! God bless!!
