Can’t sleep

After being on 50 mg of sequel before bed for two years I needed to stop and start sleeping without it. Antihistamines do not work and I am not sleeping pretty much at all! Anyone else experience this ? I should’ve never started this medication. Melatonin doesn’t work either, or smoking weed.

Hi I read somewhere that if you take sleeping aids your body gets used to it and produces less of the sleep hormone. Thus when you stop suddenly it is very difficult to sleep.

I am not a doctor of course but to me it would make sense to cut down very slowly and give your body time to catch up.
