Lexapro side effects

Has anyone upped their dose of Lexapro and having all weird feelings like hot sensation, nausea like ur mouth is so dry? I just upped my dose to 15mg.

hi! started lexapro 11-1-2020, 10 mgs. fought through some side effects and almost gave up, but after reading several comments to "stay the course", i did and so blessed that i did because at this time i feel "normal"!!! have not had to up my dosage, but if i did, i believe i would do the same and ride any sides out! continue to get plenty of exercise and eat well. i think what you are going through is normal with the increase dose. can i ask what time of day do you take it? intially, i took at 9-10 am, but felt more of the side effects, so i switched to 4-5 am and slept through most of the sides!! noticed for the the "feeling of the meds" hit about 4-5 hours after taking. good luck! hope this may have helped!!

Not to worry Frenchie...when upping a dosage, it doesn't take but a few days

before the body accepts the increase. You're okay... xx

I hope so. I have been anxious all day. Could t sleep last night because of the hot sensations. I’m so nervous right now. I can’t take it!

Depending what day you are on, you can expect to feel some discomfort break through

until it has time to reach full efficacy. Always let your doctor know if you are feeling

too bad. : ) xx

Each one of us reacts differently to medication..but I will tell you that I

as well had hot night sweats at the beginning. Caused more from fear in

taking medication (anxiety) than the meds themselves.

Always give your doctor a call will side effects that become bothersome. xx

Hi... I started on 5mg and continued for 4 weeks, then my Doc upped the dose to 10 mg. I used to have dry mouth, hot sensations and mild dizziness too. But those feelings are mostly out of my anxiety only. It just took 10 days form y body to accept the upped dose. I feel quite 'normal' now.. I am happy that I didn't stopped taking the medicine.
