Hi everyone, been so down and out that I couldn’t communicate. My counselor couldn’t even help much. TRYING to get into the Christmas mood for my grandson. I bought a tree but no house lights, my daughter is feeling stressed too. Her unemployment is running out. I did get a PT job that’s been EXHAUSTING for me, but I do like like it. Sometimes I feel like when is the other shoe is going to drop? Well, looks like that might happen? I work in a retail job, a couple of days ago I was walking to clock in I was trying to pass by this older woman, she moved and bumped me unintentionally with her elbow. She turned around and started accusing me of touching her? I guess she’s Scared of catching the Virus? I’m older too not my intentions to Not catch the Virus either. If that had been Me not at work I would have told her if she’s that scared she should’ve kept her ASS at HOME!!! Well another co-worker came to tell me that the lady wants to report me? I had even apologized even though she’s the one that bumped Me? I spoke to the person in charge about what happened. She’s going to speak to the store manager. I felt so I’ll that I called out sick today. I need my job. We’ll I wish everyone MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎄

Hi Want2B, I was wondering where you've been. Ahhh seasonal work with the wonderful shoppers. I did that for several years (but there was no Pandemic) and yet working with the public is not easy. I loved what I did but would come home exhausted from head to toe.

Once when I was in charge of the line for Santa, mothers were getting hostile waiting in line.

I worked for Customer Service, I left to go back to my booth, I purchased some scratch off lottery tickets and handed it out to them in consolation for Santa having to take his break

just as they got to the front of the line lol

I hope this incident doesn't cost you your job. I hope the Store Manager feels the same

and supports you. Did they have a security camera when this happened? Breathe Want2B, don't let it spoil your Holiday Season Merry Christmas xx

Thanks, I’ve been feeling overwhelmed. The next day I went back the next day, nothing was said to Me? I go back tomorrow the manager will be there. I’ve been getting told that I work hard and my work looks Good, you know the saying •The customer is always Right “? If she pressures them they wouldn’t have a Choice. We have cameras though out the store, don’t think they might see anything my back and her back where away from the cameras or they would have said they saw what happened? A co worker heard what happened, that I was spoken to terribly and I apologized even though I didn’t think I did anything wrong, if anything it was an unintentional accident. I guess saying I’m sorry is not good enough anymore? That same day a man got annoyed at me saying Merry Christmas to him🌲. So I stopped saying that. People are on Edge, they should stay home if their that Scared? 😷🙏

Unfortunately Want2B, the holidays can bring out the worst in people but just

remember it's not you they are mad at. Who knows what problems people are going through and especially more now. As much as words being hurtful, at least you were

kept safe from physical harm. Good Luck in how this all works out. xx

Thanks, you’re Right, I think about those kinds of things before I leave home. I’ve worked retail before it can be difficult. Well last night I was left out of a conversation involving hours being cut, I was hired for seasonal work. She said 50% of them are going to be let go. Since I wasn’t included in the conversation, I’m guessing I’ll be One of the 50% that’s going to be let go? I tried to be the Perfect employee whenever she asked me to come in in short notice I did, I overheard them saying It was hard to get people to come in? I feel I’m at a disadvantage because of my age 65. Their All younger than Me, I have been told by coworkers that I’m making the younger ones look Bad that I work so much harder than them. I’ll find out next week? 😷
