Does anyone take Rexulti for anxiety?

Five years now of daily severe FEAR. The dr. raved about a new pill called Rexulti. I've been on it 1 1/2 months now. It is not generally used for anxiety but apparently like so many other meds it "covers" various issues. At first I thought I felt better upon waking. Now I'm just back to a trembling, scared, pathetic person. I just wondered if anyone else takes or has tried it and if so has it helped. Thank you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. Apparently it's a fairly new medication only out a few years. My dr. said he had about 25 patients on it and it "had given their life back". Me, I'm still waiting. I'm on a very small dose so maybe it will need to be increased. I am so tired of waking in "fear" each morning and battling through the day. I am terrified of death and of course that thought consumes me. All I can do is try to get through one day at a time. Take care.

Thank you for your kindness. Rexulti is used for major depressive disorder (MDD) and for treatment of schizophrenia. I have neither, however I had 3 doctors say that many meds are used for other unrelated things. I do think my phsyciatrist will increase the dose when I see him in Sept. The "fear" makes me feel very alone and hopeless. I will keep on trying to combat it.

I was on Rexulti for awhile as a supplement to my antidepressant. It worked wonders but was too expensive and my insurance didn’t cover it. It worked better for my depression than anxiety but it was good. Now I’m on Abilify which was the precursor to Rexulti as I understand it.

Thank you for letting me know. I don't have depression but do have severe 24/7 fear. I think I will ask the dr. about upping the dose. I'm so desperate to be able to enjoy life again without feeling afraid. Our family dr. had nothing but good to say about Rexulti but so far I've noticed nothing. My husband's drug plan covers all our medications so I'm lucky that way. Take care.
