Venlafaxine 37.5 mg: 57 years old female... - Anxiety Support
Venlafaxine 37.5 mg
That's a very small dose. I would ask for an increase.
I'm on a higher dose.
Of all the drugs you have tried to help you with your anxiety I hands down would say Xanax is the best however there are ao many bad things about this drug. I would say try drinking tea with melatonin . For your sleep. Take Xanax when only needed not like clock work it doesn't work that way. I wish you the best. GBU always and forever Shalom
Hi Camba97, I have been on Venlafaxine for more years than I can remember. Your dose is low. I take 150mg in the form of a retard capsule, which releases throughout the day and helps me function without anxiety. You may be new to the drug, but ask your clinician if you can increase the dose. Sending hugs x
Hello, I’ve been taking Xanax for over 20 years and it has helped and I’ve only taken .25 over these years. However, my anxiety is driven by highway driving and over bridges. While, I still have not driven these avenues, but it has ever stopped me from driving. I take longer routes if I have to go someplace that requires a bridge if I have the option. Otherwise, my husband takes me. I hope to some day overcome my fears. To be honest, I have not tried to overcome mainly because I have someone to assist me. For, tinnitus, be very care of the sound that you are hearing. I say this because for about 3-4 years I was hearing what sounded like my heartbeat was beating in my ear, which was a more serious problem, which required medical attention and was fixed. Now I have ringing in my right ear and it is annoying! I’ve gotten no cure for this. I recently purchased a white noise machine that is supposed to tune out the sound I’m hearing in my ear, but the machine is noisy! My advice to you is that you may not need to increase your doses, but try listening to anxiety/relaxation tapes. Those help me to get my mind on the negative thoughts. Best wishes to you & stay safe.😊
I found if taken before sleeping at night you get less effects the next day, might be worth asking about switching when you take it.
