Is it normal for anxiety to feel breathless when resting

Breathlessness? Does it feel like it is your throat. I think I remember a couple of weeks ago last time. I feel like my theoat is closing in and I suffer from anxiety. I felt fine for a couple of days and then boom back again and it's been since lockdown about 6 week ago so if it sounds similar to mine I think we both could be suffering from it because of anxiety everyone suffers different symptoms. I feel like sometimes I am having to take a deap breath and I panic I also feel like food is stook all in my oesophagus and I am regurgitating my food. I know horrible. It is scary it scares me. Listen to me tho if it is any feeling in your throat to do with you feeling short of breath my Dr told me your throat doesn't close in over days it does it in hours and also if I was struggling with breathing and was bad other people would be able to tell by the way I was talking and also indications of a bad chest would be feeling of tightness and wheezzing or high pitched noise when breathing. I hope some of thag makes sence and gives you some reassurance 😊

Well yes because when your anxiety levels are 'sky high' it can take anything between a few hours and a few days to come dowm by half or even just a reduction, its likr yes your bodyis resting but your mind cannot switch off like a light switch because subconsciously you are not relaxed mentally. It sounds to me like you have been hyperventilating which I have experienced in the past many of times and even to this day if I unexpectedly come across my worst fear(s) then sometimes I do hyperventilate, and sometimes it makes me absolutely drained and exhausted so I totally understand.
