I’ve been taking 75mg of Venlafaxine for almost 2 weeks, started on 37.5 for two weeks, I take it at 8am, it’s slow release btw, when I wake up the following day, I have real trouble with a depression feeling, just wondering if this is part of the process whilst I get used to the drug or is 75mg not enough! I’ll call Dr Monday, but just thought I’d ask here first!

I take 150mg twice a day I used to take 75mg twice a day.
I take one in the morning and then in the evening, but if you are on Slow release I’m not entirely sure.
All I know is they are the best anti-depressant I have ever used. But I ran out once and the side effects of being off them for 2 days were horrendous. I had to lay down in my car outside doctors surgery waiting for the prescription. I had severe dizziness and headache.
I’m dreading coming off them if I ever have to. I have been on them for 2 years. I have finally accepted my anxiety and I was born with it, I’m 49 and if this is what I need to be on for the rest of my life help me then so be it!
