Anybody on venlafaxine?

I've taking venlafaxine twice a day now for 3 years, but I find after 10 hours after taking my morning dose that I get terrible withdrawal symptoms until I take I my evening one. Is anybody else like this?

I would tell them what's happening

You are very clear on what's going on.

They should be able to figure out what to do.

I'm sorry they don't seem competent that su***

Did you put weight on with venlafaxine?

Hi, I put on weight with venlafaxine but it was more so because of my eating habits than anything the medication did on its own. (Since I quit drinking alcohol, I’ve been overindulging in sweets and that is the reason for my weight gain.)

Sounds like you need the extended release version of the medication. By switching to that, you will likely not suffer the withdrawal symptoms you mentioned. I would tell your doctor that that is what you need. Until he/she makes the necessary change(s) for you, I would just start taking my second dose between 2 and 3pm to avoid the withdrawal symptoms, and see if you can make it through the night (since I’m guessing you’ll be asleep at some point) until your next dose at 6am. Good luck! I hope you feel better soon!

The sweets and all that is just human. I have those temptation too. It’s not from meds. It just is! But you have to try to discipline yourself . It is often not easy when you are naturally a person who has the blues. It just is. Try to see if you can eat healthier things such as an apple . Of course nothing replaces chocolate but it makes us feel good. Don’t ditch your meds. If you start eating a healthier diet your urge for sweets might go down. Like if you have a hamburger add mustard and ketchup only and have a side salad. You will just have to say no to sweets

Is true the doctor do no nathink. Just testing in us. The reason is because the brain is very complicated not enough understending how is working.

And you've been talking them for 3 years??? Why would you do that to yourself??? I'd get to my doctor's real Quick and get my prescription changed right away.
