Just looking for some insight into venlafaxine, I started on 37.5mg for severe Anxiety, took that for two weeks, now been on 75mg for 1 week, feeling a bit lost & anxious, feeling a level fear also, I’m thinking it’s most likely the upped dose causing some trepidation maybe, hoping it will level out soon
Stay safe

I’m just coming off venlafaxine after 20 years this has been my saviour but also has been my worst enemy of health issues...
Any anti depressants takes a good 6 weeks to 12 weeks to start calming down and working but when it’s in it is very good... what are you on is it the capsules or tablets you can ask your dr for the slow release ones which are constantly releasing mg and stays in your system longer. I was on 300mg for 20 years and I also had 10mg of propranolol which is a beta blocker and helps take the edge off there’s no side effects at all with propranolol..
Venlafaxine just requires perseverance for a while before doing its job
Thanks Nat, I will persevere, I’m on the slow release. I’m off work atm, been four months, tried two other AD’s but no good, nearly 4 weeks on Venlafaxine 37.5 for 2 and 75 for 1 week 2 days so maybe that’s why I’m feeling some trepidation!
I had a lot of trepidation even after a few years of being on it it always came in waves then I’d get this knot in the pit of my gutt that something was going to happen it was horrible I’d give it a it longer and if the trepidation stays or gets worse then maybe you need to change it or ask your dr for propranolol I went on that to stop the trepidation
