Sometimes light is too much for my eyes. It doesn’t make them hurt or anything it just stresses me out and it’s overwhelming. That’s why walking in stores is kind of a trippy walk for me. Does anybody else get this and if so how do you maintain it? I just want to be able to go places because light is everywhere.

Light
Hi oliviaaa1, light seems to bother my eyes as well. (especially bright sunlight)
At one time the fluorescent lighting in stores bothered me because of the mild
flickering and almost a faint humming sound. I read somewhere that wearing
sunglasses could help but never tried that. I do however in my home have
room darkening curtains in the tv room to help cut the glare of the outdoor light.
On my computer screen, I lower the intensity of the brightness. I have found that
sensitivity to light seems to happen when my eyes get dry. I use a Natural Tears
Eye Drops to help soothe them. xx
I always wondered why, but yes in stores it was always brutal and made me feel almost...stoned. I felt like everything looked weird and too crisp and contrasted. Now that my anxiety is gone is doesn't bother me nearly as much, but I still don't love fluorescent lights.
Hi, this happens to me too. I read it's something to do with the fact that when you are anxious you have more adrenalin in your body. Adrenalin makes the pupils dilate so that what makes eyes hurt.
I don't know if it happens to you too but it also happens to me with sound. I seem to be sensitive to everything, it all seems "too much".
