Hi! I’m new to the site. I have been dealing with a lot of crippling and severe anxiety that has also turned into depression. My GP put me on Celexa 20 mg but I have only been on it for 2 weeks. I’m going through the ‘it gets worse before it gets better stuff’.. a lot of increased anxiety and junk. But the scariest symptom of anxiety that I have had a lot often is feeling disassociated. Is this normal with anxiety? It’s a really scary feeling.

Scary anxiety symptoms
Hi there. Yes, disassociation is common with anxiety. I've gone through it before as well. Every time, without fail, once the anxiety subsided, so did the disassociation. Anxiety is a crazy animal and feeling like you're here but you're not is very unpleasant. Hang in there.
Wow thank you so much for your response! I know things will get better soon. And I hope things have gotten much better for you as well!
