Health anxiety

I recently found out I was expecting. We are so incredibly excited. I stopped my 50mg dose of trazodone at night and now I am always wide awake. Other than just being awake, tonight I have chest pain and chest tightness. Its been quite some time since I felt like this so I'm really trying to stay positive and use all my tools before this turns into a full blown panic attack. What do you do when health anxiety try's to get the better of you?

Mine always gets the better of me regardless so I have to let it ride through it calms down eventually but with you coming off your meds your going to be wide awake with withdrawal and congratulations on your good news

Go outside! When health anxiety sinks it's claws in me I feel trapped, like I can hardly breathe and I feel stuck in the bed and unable to move because I'm so overcome with worry and fear. I find I don't even WANT to get out of bed when this happens to me. But every single time, once I finally manage to crawl out of my bed and get outside I immediately start feeling better. I guess outside it feels less like the walls are closing in as I devolve into full blown panic like I would inside... A lot of times I fix myself a cup of coffee (decaf for you little mama!) and sit outside on my porch and I truly start feeling better just being out in the sunshine and seeing the sky. You can also remember now you've got a sweet little life growing inside you that needs his/her mommy healthy and well so you've gotta keep it together for them! You got this girl. Also try a warm bath and some warm milk with honey shortly before bed. Congrats on your baby!!!

Try an app called Headspace or Calm. Learn the meditations and breathing... keep in mind that it is all worth the beautiful baby that you will have! The Baby is getting you of the meds which is another plus!

Well I have been to the doctor and theyve run plenty of blood tests and everything always comes back normal. So I have to remind myself of that, I also try and get fresh air and take ten deep breaths. If things are bad I come on the forum and it helps me feel like I'm not thr only one struggling to conqure my thoughts and strange symptoms. Have you looked in CBT therapy ive heard it works really well. I'm looking into it :)
