spiked trazadone?

hi! i’ve been taking trazadone for the past ~4 years now. i started in 9th grade, making me 15 years old when i first started taking it. i’ve just graduated high school, now being 18. as of now, i’m on 50 mg of trazadone. the most i’ve been on is 600 mg (yes, i know how dangerous it is but it was approved by my doctor) when i was 16.

that all being said, i’m used to trazadone and it’s effects. on this last bottle though (gotten at a CVS), i’ve been sleeping for 13+ hours and waking up feeling awful. achy and with terrible headaches. nothing else has changed recently. i’m on the same meds, taking them on the same schedule and no home/lifestyle changes at all.

in the past for years, even at the max dosage, trazadone has never made me feel this way. my family is telling me i’m over reacting and as i do have a history of psychosis i think they’re thinking that i’m slipping into delusions.

do i have any reason to be worried? am i over reacting? i’ve switched the bottle and i’m gonna go buy some new bottled water.

please let me know if anybody has had this same issue recently!

Contact your doc, and have a good conversation with him/her.

Sometimes you just get better and you might not need the med anymore, or a different dose.

Assume the best, make sure you are eating and drinking water, not Monster drinks, and junk food. and contact your team.

Yes, i’ll have a talk with him. It wasn’t until this specific bottle that I had the problem, but i’ll still mention to maybe cut the dosage or get rid of it completely. I’m also trying my best to stay healthy. Thank you for your help!

Hi misselim , is this a generic of trazadone?

If yes, go back to CVC and compare manufactures. That might be the case. Different manufactures use different inactive ingredients .

Good luck !

I believe it’s the name brand. I had just switched to this specific CVS so that may be the case. Thank you for your help!
