Step in the right direction to Overcoming Anxiety!?

Hi

So , I got back from the clinic yesterday, feeling off. I was trying to catch a pesky rodent near my house & winded up getting only 2 hours of sleep. This was on Thursday. Since then, I have been catching up on sleep, but my mind, during the day, has been foggy and it’s been a challenge obviously to keep my eyes open at work. It gets better once i get more sleep obviously, but it’s gonna take more consistent effort , on my part, to get a proper sleep schedule. I do take naps. To add on , I also went to the clinic that same evening because the back of my head aches , but it’s so dull, but the sensations are CRAZY. The doctors said my nerves were very irritated. I have the horrible habit of grinding my teeth smh. Anyways , so since I’ve been trying to relax. My health anxiety was sending me through the roof, so even though I pretty much knew me feeling out of whack was due to me not having much sleep on Thursday , I gave into anxiety and went to the clinic . At least , I got allergy meds out of it .

Well, now I’m watching a movie , relaxing , and while trying to do so, I felt ( you guessed it ) , a sensation, back there ..it felt so annoyingly tense. But, instead of me panicking , I relaxed and said “I’m okay” and guess what? No sensations...I quit grinding my teeth too. I’m going to see a dentist soon, but it felt good to not give in to something I already know the meaning of & make myself panic .

Health anxiety will really make you think those same sensations you feel , are different EVERY time , in my case, especially when you’ve been told through tests by doctors the cause and that it’s OKAY. I’m proud of myself. It may seem like a baby step , but it’s the biggest baby step I’ve had thus far.
