Hi everyone,

I am constantly out of breath after any small movement. Anyone else get this? I have anxiety have done for so many years, is this just a symptom? I am not over weight but my diet is shocking and I don’t really exercise. Could this be I am just unfit ?

Hi Lauren, of course it's always best to run this by your physician making sure it's not

not coming from a physical reason. I will tell you that being overly anxious can cause us not to

breathe properly. Either too shallow or actually holding our breath. This can cause

breathlessness. There is another reason to consider and that is being "deconditioned".

Has nothing to do with your vital organs but your muscles that aren't exercised . With

that every little move you make becomes an effort.

I hope you see a professional for a complete diagnosis as well as how to start out slowly

in re-conditioning your body. :) xx

Breathlessness is one of my worst symptoms! And I do exercise. When I exercise my body uses all that extra adrenaline and I feel much better. Unfortunately I can't spend my whole life on a treadmill so it eventually comes back.
