Hi Annab124, I also have Fibro as well as had Migraines.

I had Acupuncture for migraine pain which worked for me.

With Fibro, I had Acupressure which helped reduce pain by

breaking up the trigger points. Sending gentle hugs. x

Thanks for your reply ! I haven’t been diagnosed with Fibro yet but it’s starting to sound like it . My ribs under arm pit hurt to touch as well as my collar bones and bones at front of neck. Sometimes my arms An palms of my hands too. These past few days the chest an back pain has been been really painful as well as lightheaded feeling . I’m considering anything at this point to get rid or help these feelings . Was acupuncture painful X

Annab, I'd say acupuncture was a little uncomfortable and yet

relaxing at the same time. I would get a diagnosis first before

attempting to go through that. Fibro can be detected by the

number of trigger points and placement on the body by a

Rheumatologist. x

Only a doctor will be able to tell you. x

Okay thank you ! Isn’t it hard to diagnose though ? C

It is, since there isn't a definite test to prove it.

A Rheumatologist deals more with chronic pain

of muscles and knows what to look for. x

While you are waiting, take a look at the Fibro site that kenster1 recommended.

I am on that one as well under the username of "BellaMia". It may be a good

place to start in seeing what others have to say. x

I am seeing an acupuncturist about a shoulder and neck problem. After my first visit I slept better than I had in months. You would need to find an acupuncturist who has studied Chinese medicine as they treat the whole body and can sometimes uncover underlying problems. My husband went to see a Physio for acupuncture, but go no relief for his back pain and says he feels like she was just going through the motions. I'd say give it a try.
