I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression in November yesterday and prescribed Citopram as a 30mg dose. I hadn’t been sleeping and my dr told me to take it before bed which worked amazing. However this morning I feel terribly nauseous, shaky and even a little paranoid to be honest. Can anyone help or talk me through this a bit please.

Citopram help
It's not unusual to have all kinds of weird symptoms when starting a new med. It'll take your body at least a month to adjust. Report any serious side effects or change in mental state to your MD. It's rare that the first medication trialed is the one that provides the best results. I recommend vkeeping a daily journal of how you feel and any side effects.
I'm extremely sensitive to medications and I've had the same side effects as you. I have to start off with half of whatever my psychiatrist puts me on and then take my regular dose after the side effects subside a bit. I hear ya though, I get really, really nauseous on SSRIs, and I feel out of my body... it's a gross feeling... almost like I'm going to lose my mind or crawl out of my skin. Honestly, recently I started a med that works well and I'm not having any adverse side effects. I always talk to my psych doc when I feel "off", especially if it's immediately after I start taking something new. Could be the body's way of telling you that something isnt right. That's just my opinion though. I feel for ya, I've had to leave work bc of how bad I felt when I got back on meds, but its temporary and I hope you find a medication that works for you. Feel better soon!
