Chest uncomfort
Bless you.hope you are okay.
I’ve been to the hospital many times too.
If anything it will give you reassurance that you are okay x
Julie I’m so sorry you feel bad. Just take slow, deep breaths and tell yourself everything is going to be okay. Let us know what the doctor said.
Thanks. I was there for 4 hours and they said everything looks okay. But of course my mind is freaking out. The crazy thing is the stroke alert went off twice while I was there and a couple other people that walked in there with chest pain. What a day!!!
It sounds like you really had a tough day. I went to the ER a couple years back with chest pain and of course there was nothing wrong. Then I went because I had stomach pain. They ran tests and said I probably had an ulcer and needed to have an endoscopy. They did it and found nothing. I haven’t been back to the ER since. I know that while my symptoms can scare me they are being caused by anxiety. I hope you feel better now.
Oh my that must have been scary! I try not to go. Because I know that anxiety can manifest in many physical symptoms but it seems like my symptoms are getting worse and definitely unbearable around my days. My underlying health issue is said to cause severe anxiety but man!! It sucks!
I know how you feel. I went to the ER several times when I first started having symptoms. When they didn’t find anything they would get annoyed. So I haven’t been back in over 2 years. I did go to a walk-in clinic a month ago when I developed a burning sensation in my upper left nostril. It turned out to be a sinus infection. I’m pretty good now at telling if something is related to anxiety or not.
I wish I could do that. I owe Aetna thousands in medical bills even though I have exceptional government benefits. How do you refrain from going to the ER?
I’m lucky I live in Canada as doctor visits and ER visits are covered by the province. I’m able to refrain from going to the ER because I’m able to recognize that my symptoms are from anxiety. When my chest tightens I ask myself if I can breathe okay. When I see that I know there isn’t any real danger. I think from your symptoms that you had a panic attack. They can be triggered by an unpleasant event or come out of the blue. If you get another one focus on slow, deep breathing and tell yourself it’s just your anxiety and you are going to be okay. Panic attacks usually last from 2 to 30 minutes. If you stay calm those frightening symptoms should start to subside.
I have noticed that my bodily symptoms only last 20 minutes during each episode. Thanks for your advice!!
You’re welcome. If the symptoms last 20 minutes it’s almost certainly a panic attack. Just remember to stay calm. It’s scary but a panic attack can’t actually hurt you.
so your nausea and thirst lasted 20 mins?
And were you fine before that?
Praying you’re ok sending you a hug 🤗
