So. I have posted on here before and since then I though I may have beaten this thing. But now the attacks are back with a vengeance and as it goes you starting having dark and hopeless fears.

A couple of weeks ago I was exercising. I wad holding a dumbell above my head ehrn I felt almost like a clicking sensation in my chest. Suddenly I got a horrific panic attack and my wife had to cart me to hospital. They gave me tranquilizers. I got beter and left. Since then everytime I got to a certain part doing weights it would start. (But never when I am peddling away on a spinning bike.)

I asked the doctor to put me on Welbutrin earlier last year and then now to switch me to lexamil. But first he put me on Yelate that gave me about 10 bad attacks in 12 hours. Waves and waves. Finally on the lexamil...starting on 5mg...I am feeling beter. Yesterday I when to a GI specialist. He is convinced it might be IBS of some kind. He gave me acid blockers Nd a sleeping pill. This morning I woke up tired and went to work. My legs felt like jelly and another attack happened. Now I am at home. I have a hart sonar and stress ecg tomorrow. Both of which I had 2 years ago and was fine. I am truelly at a loss. I get little stab/tear pains in the left and right side of my chest then the attack just goes crazy! My BP is never high. My resting pulse is always high eventhough I exercise. Between 85 and 100 bpm.

Any thoughts? Could I be dying?

I am so sorry you are experiencing allof this! No clue what it could be besides stress/anxiety, but let the Drs. Figure that out!!!! Practice meditation And breathing exercises while you now and until they get back to you.

Keep us posted and keep coning back! We are here for you!

I am no doctor. I would say you could be under more stress than usual. I know others who have panic attacks due to extreme stress. Take care.
