Hello beth95, I have been put on Venlafaxine 37.5 XR since April this year and for me, it saved my sanity. Firstly, I am a breast cancer survivor and my peri menopausal symptoms were extreme (was getting hot flashes by the hour) and anxieties are way over the roof.... frankly, when this medication was prescribed to me, I refused for fear of getting addicted. Eventually, as my symptoms and anxieties got worse to worst, I gave in and never look back. Although this medication didn’t solve my issues 100% but it tremendously helped me to lead a much better daily life. Good luck and hope that you will find relief with this medication!

I've been on venlafaxine 37.5 XR for around 3 months & definitely feel a small improvement in my depression. The higher dose gave me insomnia, but that's not a common side-effect. The only other side-effect is increased sweating, but nothing to worry about. Hope it goes well for you.
