procrastination isn’t inherently lazy

Ive been called lazy or dumb most of my life for putting off projects, homework and responsibilities. I still feel a bit ashamed for it but that’s what happens when you get bullied long enough, you start to believe what they’re saying especially since you don’t really understand why else you do it. I want you to know that it doesn’t inherently make you lazy; sometimes It’s not that you don’t care, it’s anxiety and perfectionism. The anxiety of worrying about making the wrong choice and wanting the outcome to be perfect becomes so overwhelming, you put responsibilities off until the last moment or avoid them altogether to spare yourself the stress. you’re just terrified it will turn out terrible and you’ll be judged badly for it. So don’t feel so guilty for being anxious about important decisions, and don’t let people make you feel lazy or dumb for being overwhelmed. all you can do is your best.
