I know I could post this on a women’s health board but I love you all and have started building friendships with you guys so I’m posting this here 💛

Was just diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome.. I’m a little shaken up by this diagnosis for it is new to me. Google is telling me all sorts of scary things it can cause in the future like heart disease, diabetes, infertility, etc...

Can anyone offer me words of advice or insight?

I feel afraid 😞

Hi! I was diagnosed with pcos over 10 years ago. I was terrified at first. I've learn to live with it. It of course has caused some annoying symptoms but I also googled things that I could do to help. Losing weight helped a great deal. It literally cut my symptoms in half. I usually only have pain right before my cycle and every now and then I'll have a pcos flare up that will last a few days with pain. I know it sounds scary but its not as bad as you think. Try not to stress about it.

I just got diagnosed with that too. If you keep it under control and have your doctor follow up, it should be fine. My doctor said if I don't get my period for 3 months to let her know. I don't want kids so it's not a big deal to me but you can still have kids with PCOS it's just harder.
