Congratulations to your sobriety, I assure you this is one of the best decisions you've ever made. Substance abuse destroy peoples lives, your and your family as well. Your post speeked directly to me as my father is an alcoholic and was since I remember and he is the reason I am Duffy with anxiety now and also my sister. He is an old man now and totally destroyed , depressed and he just ruined his life. Never went anywhere, never enjoyed life really. What a waste of opportunities. I wish you all the strength in the world to beat this because it will not be easy.good luck

Thank you so much ☺️It was probably one of the hardest things I ever had to do in my life 💯 but the most rewarding too! I can actually say that I'm proud of myself for breaking such a nasty addiction that was ruining my life! If I can do it so can you ! I Am on medication I'm currently taking citalopram which seems to be working for me 🙏🏼

Someone else told me to ask my doctor to put me on citalopram

They Prozac is not a good medication they said citalopram is less side effects

I'm not sure about that, all I can say is that my meds are working for me.. but everyone's different and different meds work differently for each person.. you need to take them for a good 3/4 weeks minimum before you can feel or notice a difference in your mood or side effects etc..stick with what you are on for now to give them a chance to work couple of days isn't enough time to decide whether to change I don't think in my opinion x

Definitely as far as I know you can still have them up to a few weeks before they settle 💗

I am so proud of you! Congratulations! That is a huge accomplishment! Keep in mind that the meds take at least two weeks to become fully therapeutic. You are already being a great father by doing seeking help to become a better man and by how you stated that you'd love to make it to your son's football games. Keep staying strong. Take care.
