Lexapro palpitations

Can lexapro cause palpitations or is it the anxiousness side effect of the medicine?

There are some places online where people have reported palpitations. I haven't experienced that.

I’m anxious whenever it happens though so I’m hoping it’s not related to the lexapro

I have palpitations with venlafaxine. GP has done 3 ECGs but says 'QT intervals' are fine?? Slightly irregular beat though so given Propanolol which is a beta blocker. Take it only when I have the palpitations and they are worrying me. Maybe you need this too? Possibly be good to have ECG too.

Hi, I get palpitations every time I am anxious and know it’s the anxiety causing them. I just take anti depressants every day ( for the last 24 years) and occasionally I take a small dose of Valium when feeling really bad. You would be amazed the effects Anxiety has on people so please don’t worry. Xx
