Medicine for anxiety

Can I ask people what they take? And has it put weight on you I have post dramatic stress and I’m thinking of asking for medication to help me. Thank you in advance

I was on lexapro for a while for anxiety caused by a traumatic birth and health scare and I suffered from am still kinda suffering from ptsd...it never put weight on me and I found it very helpful, I have since weaned myself off it as I didn’t want to be on it long and had no side effects whatsoever, I still have anxiety but it is manageable not as severe as before and I am definitely 100 times better than I was before I don’t know if I will ever feel myself again but I’m at a place where I am happy now again and getting on with it!!i never thought I would get this far!!

Thank you for replying I’ve been put on sertraline. I’ve read it puts a lot of weight on people. I just wanted to see if people have been on this. Was it any good and if weight gain was part of taking them

Hi im on sertraline been them for 6 weeks now ! I havent put weight on if that helps .
