Any suggestions on coping with the panic attacks? or even suggestions on counseling? My throat feels like it tightening up and my mind won't stop thinking the worse, I can't stay home alone, its very disabling....

I am the same if anyone has any info I darent be by my self. I see a councillor once a month but she just tells me to breathe and practice mindfulness
You cope with panic attacks by doing nothing. That's right, doing nothing. If you fight them then fighting only causes more stress and tension. That won't help.
So stop fighting the panic attacks and do the opposite thing. Accept them for the time being. I said for the time being.
Accept them utterly, offer no resistancr, agree to live with them for the moment.
Nobody ever died of a panic attack, no death certificate ever issued has that as the 'cause of death'.
Panic attacks are unpleasant but why fear them - specially when you know that by not reacting with fear you deny the panic attacks that which they feed on: the fear hormones that you release when you're scared.
No need to feel scared, tblas, practice accepting the panic and the feeling in your throat too. And carry on with your day, occupation is good for high anxiety.
To rid yourself of panic you must pass through the panic and accept the bad feeling with utter acceptance, complete calmness. It can be done, it only takes practice and persistance!
