I could understand your concern if you were about to have an angiogram but you have had your angiogram and you've been told your arteries are patent.
Most people would be jumping up and down with joy because 1. the procedure is over and 2. your arteries are unblocked allowing the blood to bring life-giving oxygen to your heart.
yes i had the angiogram, echocardiogram and the nuclear stress test. final result i didn't have a coronary heart event.
Do you feel those test are accurate
i sure hope so
The reason I asked is due to the fact I feel I still have cardiac issues,i get short of breath while walking an also I get this strange uncomfortable feeling in my chest
The term, that can be used when you speak with your doctor is " Please cast a wide net and see what you can find, for me, as something is just not right."
Gain back your authority over your self. Follow this through with your trusted doctor until you understand that you are well, or that the cause of the discomfort is found.
All the best!
Tonyhope, during and angiogram the surgeon actually sees the condition of your main arteries leading to the heart. So those tests couldn't be more accurate.
If you feel strongly there is still something wrong with your heart then do go back and discuss it with your doctor, even a simple ECG tells a lot. Have you had an ECG?
If you've had an ECG and an angiogram I would say your heart is 100%.
But if it's health anxiety you probably won't accept what even the world's top heart specialist tells you. You will think he's 'missed something'. This isn't your fault, it's the nature of people experiencing anxiety disorder.
I'm no healthcare professional but I know that anxiety disorder can cause tension in the chest muscles, this is quite common. Possibly this is what you're experiencing. And I note you feel like you're 'about' to pass out but never actually succeed in passing out.
So with the absence of any bad news from the medicos, it's all sounding suspiciously like anxiety to me.
Well my angiogram was normal, but my ekg has always been abnormal, its strange to me that my EKG Always shows I'm having a heart attack, but all the blood work is normal
Was there something specific on the EKGs to indicate a heart attack? I ask because an interpretative EKG reading will come up as abnormal when it finds something like sinus tachycardia, which can be caused by a lot of things.
I don't understand why if your EKG (we call them ECG in England) shows you are having a heart attack they don't take you into hospital immediately and remedy it.
