Came to bed earlier and fell asleep but just woke up. Why am I panicking so much about how bad my eyes are recently 😩 keep feeling like I’m gonna go blind. Have a constant heaviness on eyes and feel so tired from the minute I open my eyes til the minute I close them. I have never felt as tired as this ever. I have been oversleeping too for months

Hi Lyns1411, I just read that you started Celexa 6 days ago. That is what most likely is causing your tiredness as well as heavy eyes. It has a sedative effect until your body adjusts to the medication. I'm sure you may also be experiencing dry eyes along with the other symptoms. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist regarding side effects of your medication. But this is what is most likely happening. The medication is trying to quiet down your mind and body. xx

I have defo been more tired since taking celexa but I’ve had really heavy eyes for a few weeks now which is worrying me. I feel like my eyes are more blurred too which is affecting my vision. I’ve had eyes tested bout a month or 2 ago and they said everything seems fine. I keep thinking it’s something serious wrong with me as I feel dizzy too Xx

Opticians said I had dry eyes last time I went so do u think the celexa could be adding to that nd making my dry eyes worse nd causing the heaviness cos my eyes are actually hurting like they have dryness and pressure. Do u know any good dry eye drops or sprays that don’t make eyes blurred as I find that sets anxiety off more if something makes my eyes even more blurred xx

Dry eyes does cause that heavy feeling like you can't keep your lids open. They can hurt and ache. Any of the SSRIs or Benzos can cause additional dryness to your eyes and mouth. I am very sensitive to medications and can only use an eye drop called Genteel. (Moderate) It has no artificial chemicals in it. Works only on the eyes, is not systemic. Doesn't make the eyes more blurry (that scares me as well) It's refreshing to use and can be use often throughout the day and evening. x

I’ve been using hycosan preservative free drops from the opticians but doesn’t relieve it at all. Does dry eyes cause blurriness a bit too if the eyes become quite dry? X
