I've went all day not feeling too bad actually and have felt good about it.
Ever since I got into bed at 10, my panic levels have increased. Now I'm feeling tired but I keep getting they jerks where I feel my heart isn't beating right.
I'm sorry you are feeling that way. It is difficult especially when a good day has passed to then be followed by anxious feelings and you ask yourself "why?". At night, I too find it hard sometimes to fall asleep when the mind will not settle.
I try going on a walk with my husband and dog to try and settle myself or reach out to someone and talk. Also deep breaths help me by focusing on counting the breaths and somewhat meditating.
I hope that you are able to settle your mind and body so that you can sleep. It's easier said than done, but try and not think about sleeping, busy yourself with something outside of the bed and then try again.
I do think I've over thought bedtime and that's maybe why I've went into a panic, I suppose it could be loads of things. Last night I fell asleep so quickly and hoped I would again tonight but not to be.
The first night it happened to me I too went into a bit of a panic because I have never had issues sleeping before I began dealing with anxiety. And it can be frustrating to think why was yesterday so easy... Try not to think about when you have to be awake by. It can sometimes make it worse to look at that clock, relax and if no sleep comes don't panic just go about your day as best you can
Hi Ashley, unfortunately I am....as usual I'm glad today felt good, maybe now you're in bed there's nothing else to focus on other than - every feeling, every twinge and every emotion. The jerks could be your body relaxing after a good day and you're heart slowing preparing for sleep, maybe because you're still subconsciously focused on you're heart it's an uncomfortable feeling for you and you're jerking awake you're heart will naturally beat faster. I usually find if I've had a good day it can hit me twice as hard. Like petita said, try something else and maybe come back to it. I get really frustrated tossing and turning to the point where I hear my heart thumping in my ears. That's why I'm not trying yet......soon though I hope you're feeling more settled soon
Love & light

Hi Eva
Thanks for that. Yeah I do focus on my heart way more at night, no matter what way I lie I can either hear it beating or feel it through my whole body. That certainly doesn't help.
I've got up a few times so I'm gonna try again, got to be up at 7 for work
Xx

You're welcome Hun, anytime early morning is so quiet when were awake and just lay it's hard to switch off from the busy-ness of our minds and feelings have you tried focusing on you're breathing and when you're mind wanders just keep bringing it back to you're breath? Probably not much help I know as I've been getting around 3hrs a night for what seems like forever now and when you have a hectic life it's rubbish I do really feel for you, I hope you've managed get some sleep! Take care
