Weird gurgling feeling

Was driving to work yesterday and felt fine then all of a sudden I got this weird gurgling/ bubbling feeling in my chest and my heart started skipping and it raced up to 124 bpm. I also went funny in the head as if was about to pass out and broke out into a sweat . I had to get fuel and I wasn’t game to get out of Ute so I sat for a while , then I had the urge to use my bowels . Is this a type of anxiety/panic attack ? It has me worried sick atm 😔

Hi Jodz, It certainly had all the makings of an anxiety attack starting with the gurgling/bubbling feeling in your chest. Once we fear something out of the ordinary, adrenaline rushes in and takes over allowing for your heart beat to accelerate which in turn makes your head feel funny because you start to hyperventilate. Finally because your body is working sooo hard, it breaks out in a sweat to cool you down. The urge to have to use the bathroom also from overexcitement of the colon. Unfortunately, these things happen sometimes for no reason that you know of. It happened, it passed and now you must forget about it or you will go into a circle of fear that will keep the adrenaline levels moderately high. Meditate tonight and deep breathe. It's okay, you are safe. xx

Hi Jodz.

My daughter has the same thing. It comes on when she is over-hungry. I have the fluttery heart beat but she has the gurgling with the flutters.

Make sure you're not getting too hungry or dehydrated.

Just some thoughts.

Thanx Ldk64 for your advice . Have had flutters , skipping before but this was scary . I’m still obsessing about it , checking pulse every minute .
