20mg Citalopram. Help?

I've been prescribed some today. I knew I was down etc but didn't realise how till lately. Anyways. I've had my first one today (iv never been to the docs ever for this kind of thing) I feel so horrible. Thought I felt bad before!

I feel sick, I've gone so thirsty! I had a little nap on sofa because I felt I needed it. Feel like I'm on a different planet and it's vile. Is this normal?

It's hard starting them. Nausea is so common. One technique is easing into taking them. Maybe take half or less for a week, then a little more, etc until you reach your full prescribed dose. Also, always take it with food. If it makes you overly tired, you can take it at night before bed. That's how I've found mine works best for me. I promise the yucky feeling doesn't last forever.
