Been prescribed citalopram and every doctor I've spoke to that being 3 has recommended it but it's the initial side effects that scare me can anyone share their experience of citalopram?

Citralopram

I’ve been taking it for several years. I really can’t say I’ve had any side effects. It may cause a bit of drowsiness but I take it at night. Good luck!
Be careful taking them at night, i was told they were best to take at night but found myself being wide awake and having zero sleep😊 i started off on 10mg and the side effects were awful for me with dizziness, feeling sick, off food, losing weight etc as soon as i was bumped up to 20mg these symptoms passed thankfully X
I'm sceptical whether to take them or not if they are worth it and yeah the doctor said take them in the morning
how are you getting on with them? I was started on 10, then upped to 20, am now on 30, I take them in the morning, as I have never tried them at night? The only thing is I have put on weight, but it could be lack of exercise due to my ataxia, which caused me to be anxious and depressed, hope they have made a difference to you.
I'm on day 3 of 10mg, and have experienced nausea, emotional blunting, exhaustion, slightly blurred vision, and terribly headaches. I've been taking it in the morning, now I'm rethinking that, since it's knocking me on my ass. All I want to do is sleep. I have ZERO motivation. I'm on leave right now, which is a godsend because I definitely could not work the way I feel right now.
