Amen! That is so true! I wish we could somehow remove the stigma surrounding mental health challenges. I think it is possibly changing very slowly. We have such a very long way to go. I personally would like to find a way to make psychiatric or mental health care more affordable and available to people regardless of income, location, race, gender etc. Maybe in our lifetime? I doubt it though. Wish I knew how to get involved and Be The Change, Or at least a small part of it.
I concur....you are so right. Here the wards are mixed with drug withdrawals, Parkinson sufferers, violence so the patients who need peace and quiet simply don't get it but if paid privately...will. there's such a strain on the national health service yet 7 millions pounds was given for a new opera house to be built. No words. Society wants to ignore it because it's easier that way..rather than it being treat like any other illness it's one that scares ppl because of the unknown. I think the only way to do it is write to your government or like here our local members of parliament. Nothing may come of it but you've tried. Says so much about you lovely it really does x
It is absurd. I know too many people with problems that never get the help they need for various reasons. Then we have a mass shooting killing tons of people and children by someone with a mental health problem and they are quick to blame mental health but don’t do anything about it! All that does is give mental health a worse stigma in the media.
I totally agree..here in Melbourne we had two incidents of drivers running over pedestrians in our city just recently and theyre not even in jail, putting it down to mental health issues..I rest my case..

Good grief, the amount of times 'paths' attempt the same is increasing when we know for a fact they are fine. The world as we now live in...sigh. x
Hugs to you Janieliza . thanks . i have one friend, one, that's it- who really understands and that's bc she has some anxiety depression episodes herself. so i just try to be thankful i at least have one person that doesn't judge, and to believe God loves me unconditionally. Blessings
I think you all have a good point here and it would be great if all of us would write Congress about these issues. Mental illness needs to be recognized as an illness, and help should be available no matter what insurance we have. I would love to be involved in helping everyone who suffers get the help they need. I truly believe we can all get better.
