Anxiety and cold/flu

I have a nasty cold, headache, freezing, stuffy nose, cough, chest burning, plugged ears, sinus face pressure, body aches. My question is anyone with a similar situation does this cold make you more anxious? I usually can get it together,but these last couple days have been horrible. can anyone relate?

I tend to panic horribly when I get sick. I don’t know if its because it reminds me of past illnesses or that the symptoms just overwhelm me too much. But you’re definitely not alone in feeling that way. I hope you get better soon x

Thanks so.much! My doc said it should take 7 or so days to run it's course and I'm on day 4 so not too much longer. I have health anxiety and I think being sick makes me more aware of my body and symptoms.

Oh it really does! I’m actually just getting over a nasty cold myself . on top of that, my monthly cycle started so it’s double the pain and discomfort.

Try to get rest if you can drink water or orange juice, take some OTC meds for pain if possible. And try to have a nap you’ll get better soon.
