Hi Mariapalmer, sounds like you may be coming down with a cold or virus. A temperature is a good thing in that it's our body's way of telling us to take it easy. Do you have a sore throat, a cough, achy all over, the chills?? See where this all takes you and then you can address it. But don't be scared. We are here to see you through this. :) xx

Hi Danielle, I was just reading your other post that you caught a cold from your grandmother. It happens especially this time of the year. So many people are sick with colds and flu. You say how can you tell the difference. Usually with the flu you will run a temperature. In either case, they are treated the same.

You are doing all the right things. Soup is not only soothing when you are sick but also helps congestion in your sinuses. As for you losing your voice, that happens often. Avoid cold drinks. Inhaling over a bowl of steam will help your voice box. Whenever I get a cold, it always affects my voice. Don't strain it by talking much and when you do whisper until you heal.

Rest as well as hydrate during this time. If your start running a temperature and it gets close to 101, call you doctor, you may need antibiotics but otherwise, usually an over the counter pain reliever will help both a low grade temperature as well as the achy miserable feeling all over. Get better soon. You will be okay xx Whispering a Happy New Year to you :)
