I think I have agoraphobia and I don’t know what to do
Agoraphobia : I think I have agoraphobia and... - Anxiety Support
Agoraphobia
Mckeehand, Hold our hands, we will show you the way.
You are truly not alone with agoraphobia. It takes over when anxiety gets to be overwhelming. It's a way our minds feel it can protect us from the outside world. The problem is not the outside as much as it is in what is going on inside our minds. The doubts and fears have escalated in making us afraid of everything. Accepting that we have the power to change our lives once we believe that the fear is not harmful. It is just a thought, a sensation. It is not a physical issue. We are more than capable of putting one foot in front of the other and walking out that door. It's our minds keeping us prisoner.
You will hear from others on the forum who have gone through or are going through small steps in getting out once more. Take advice from those who have been through this fear. But most of all, learn all you can about Agoraphobia on YouTube, Reading books etc. The more we know about our problem, the easier it is to overcome it. Understanding can help us move forward, hopefully out the door and around the block. xx
We care and are here for you .
Thank you
Dear Mckeehand, I wish you are recovering from your Agoraphobia. I have a mild one but it is important to beat it strongly. You may need to follow CBT therapy but here you are a successful source which is helping me: paniccure.com
Wishing you all the best,
Mónica
