I am on sertraline for my anxiety, been on them about 8 days now but feel very strange. What are the side effects of this med and how long do they last, I feel like giving up to be honest, don't want to feel like this. My doctor said they are I quote "a happy pill". But I don't feel happy just strange and scared. I also take propranolol, don't like how I'm feeling. Anyone with any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Hey I was on Zoloft for a while and felt that same strange and scared feeling as well. Even since I’ve gone off them the past 2 months I’ve been feeling this way as well. It’s difficult and it’s just your mind adjusting to the medication. Try to just relax yourself when that happens. If you find it’s really agitating you you could always go back to your dr and say you don’t think the pill is a good fit for you. Your choice of course :) take care

I’ve been changed to Setraline from Escitalopram. I’m struggling with the change too. You really need to give it 8 weeks to let you get used to it & your system to settle. You’ll get there, don’t give up. X
