Sertraline side effects advice

Hi me again !

been on sertraline for 2 weeks and just after some help with side effects because im panicking its the start of colon cancer and doctors are just not listening 😞

Some days i feel great but other days i feel a tightening sensation in my stomach and struggle to go toilet

Then some days i go more than normal!

Has anyone else had this side effects?

Mckeane, I see that 3 years ago you posted that you had been diagnosed with IBS which can be caused by anxiety so it seems highly likely that your present symptoms are due to IBS and not colon cancer. Why not see your doctor for reassurance.

I did 2 weeks ago, hence why im on sertraline 50mg

I was just hoping someone could help me regards to these tablets and if this is something someone else has had similar

Yes I’ve been on them 5 weeks

Awful tummy with constant cramps then I went from loose to constipated. This is only happening once a week now instead of every day.

After 4 weeks all side effects seem to going when I spoke to my dr he said that it can cause problems and need to give it time to get use to.
