started sertraline 8 days ago, 25mg first week, started 50mg yesterday. when is the best time of day to take it. just getting a bit of the runs and sleep going worse. i know trazadone did help my sleep but had to come off it due to palpitations.
any advice would be very welcome. xx
I found my side effects were better when I took it at night before bed..around 9:00.

That was the one thing I didn't really notice a difference in. I've always had a hard time sleeping and I guess it did get worse for 3-4 weeks at first. I didn't notice a difference if I took the med at night or in the morning. I would wake up several times at night and it would take me longer than usual to go back to sleep. I also seemed to have more dreams and they were more vivid than before the med. The crappy sleep didn't seem to change no matter what time I took the medicine, but taking it at night made the other side effects better for sure so the trade off was worth it.
