Normal bp for an adult at resting is 120/80

Except in the UK 140/90 is considered normal

Google isn’t always a useful tool and not always accurate and it’s easier to ask here as someone on here might be a medical professional that has more knowledge than google.

Exactly I was in EMT school for a few months left due to work coming first but anyway the knowledge I gained is better than google and I plan to go back soon and become a New York State EMT (Emgency Medical technician)

As I've said before, normal BP in the U.S. was reduced to 120/80 after successful lobbying of the American Medical Association by the pharmaceutical industry thereby gaining big pharma millions more customers for their products. 120/80 can only be achieved by most peopleover 30 using medications so there is some doubt whether 120/80 really is the natural norm.

Whereas over here in the U.K. the British Medical Association resisted attempts by big pharma to similarly reduce 'normal' BP - so over here normal BP is considered anything up to 140/90 unless you have diabetes when the recommended maximum is 135/85.

Therefore if you're an American with high blood pressure you can reduce your blood pressure to normal without taking meds simply by coming to live in the U.K.☺
