Morning anxiety??

Is anyone's anxiety terrible after they wake up? I'm all stiff and also feel very short of breathe in the morning and start dreading the day. Everyday it makes me want to sack off work. Al day I feel like I'm being squashed by a huge rock and my body just aches so so much.

You're not not aline here I can definately relate. Anxiety is worse in the early hours of the morning, my body routinely wakes from 3-4am every single night. unfortunately it has affected my ability to work.

Yes before I went on celexa it was constant and the first few weeks on the medicaton I was still getting morning anxiety, now it is a little less but I always wake up with aches and pains and believe its because I tense up at night even when I sleep, the other night as I was rolling over I caught myself with my shoulders up to my hears and my arms and hands clenched now if I could fix this problem it would be great. Feel better soon.

Yes, sometimes my mornings are the worst. I suffer through it and feel better by 11a or 12p. I have tried thinking more positive when I wake up.. it helps a bit. Maybe change your morning routine so you have something else to focus on?

Why not try some gentle exercises while still in bed (stretching is good) and then a few minutes of meditation, and some deep stomach breathing. Helps me start the day!
