No tears, trying hard to not put pressure on myself. Told my colleagues my situation as I was comfortable to do so which I think helps. Taking things slowly. Long weekend and birthday this weekend so should be nice.

Good for you. Hopefully the next day will easier and the one after that even more so.
Take time out for yourself regularly during the week to reduce your stress levels (exercise, meditation, massage or yoga) so that you can enjoy the hard earned weekend.
