This is an SSRI or antidepressant that helps with anxiety, too. Anxiety & depression travel together. So don't be surprised if you feel 1 or the other some days. Or both. I took this, but didn't have any strong side effects that impressed me. Neutral on any weight effects. None! Any other questions you can think of?

Thanks for your reply.. did you find that these helped you?

Certainly! I needed a change of antidepressant & anti-anxiety medicine. They're usually good for years but then need changing as their effectiveness starts to fall off.

What we're your symptoms if you don't mind me asking?

I don't mind. That's what I'm here for. I felt my depression creeping in somewhat. I had been taking a benzodiazepine for my anxiety so that was always covered. It's the depression I had to watch. I had a lot on my plate and couldn't afford to be depressed and not functioning well. I know when it's time to switch to a new antidepressant and so far at that time my doctors had been successfully picking new SSRIs.

By depression creeping in I mean: not up to doing everything as usual, wanting to sleep more and more, putting off business phone calls, avoiding conflict.

Yes, back to normal! Thanks.

I am on this right now. They started me off on a very low dose and now I am up to 20mg. I didn't have many side effects when I first started, felt kinda hot, very tired and lazy. And a little anxious. But over time they went away and I can say that I am glad I started taking this medication. Helped me tons! Hope it works out for you. Can take up to 4-6 weeks to have full effect. Good luck!

I tried that one but it made me worse and had bad side effects from it so had to stop it x
