Premenopausal and anxiety

Hi has anyone been told there is a link between these two things. Are symptoms similar?

HI, I am going through a tough time with pre menopause. Yes there is a link with anxiety. I have never suffered with anxiety until all this hormone imbalance with the pre menopause. It is so debilitating and frightening to deal with.

Hello ,and welcome to the next stage of a woman's life. The hormones can really play a number on you, from hot flashes and sticking your head in the refrigerator, to anxiety, to feeling like a bear some days. There are somethings to help pass through this time. Check with your gyn and discussed the options. And no, you are not crazy.

HI, thank your for your message. How woman are not pre warned about these horrendous and frightening symptoms bewilders me. All I knew about the change was the hot flushes. Not a word about how frightened you get and the high level of anxiety that you suffer with, not to mention the depression. I asked my mother about her menopause but she has no recollection of any symptoms. She must have been one of the lucky ones who just breezed through it.
