I fell asleep last night without taking my Lexapro/escitalopram that I always take at bedtime (because it makes me sleepy). I've been dizzy all day. Is this normal after just missing one dose? With my hypochondria I'm freaking out that something more is wrong. I've checked my blood sugar levels and they were fine, blood pressure was fine, pulse oxygen level was fine, pulse is a little high but normal. I hate the curse that is anxiety.

Fell asleep before I took my Lexapro last night
Hi Lm92, I doubt if missing that one dose last night would cause the dizzy feeling. However worrying about having missed it and the effects it may have can cause you to feel apprehensive.
I'm on 15mg Lexapro for the last 5 years. Although I've never missed a dose (I take it with lunch everyday) the dosage would stay the same in your body for at least 27-30 hours. After than it would be cut down 50%. Hope this helps knowing..
That actually helps a lot. Thank you for responding, Agora. You are always so kind. I've been on various antidepressants since 2001, but sometimes just a bit of reassurance from someone other than yourself can make a world of difference. I got myself out for a walk and have been working on chores around the house and just getting my mind occupied has helped a lot.
Hi Lm92, I am on 10mg of Lexapro and if I miss 1 or 2 days I will get little dizzy spells here and there!
