Hey there. I can guarantee you that it will not be forever. I think right now you may be getting caught up in the moment. I do that a lot. Everything explodes at once and I worry. Then later I calm down and I can think more clearly. It's not easy to calm down, so I'm not going to give the advice of "calm down". However, I think that you should realize that right now you are having a moment, and that right now is not the time to be thinking critically about what to do. Instead just feel the emotions, and recognize that there is always a way around things, in some way or another. But that way is for you to figure out tomorrow when your head is more clear and not attacked by a flood of emotions and pain. Take some advil, or put an ice pack to your head. Perhaps shower (that helps me feel better whenever I am upset).

I hope you feel better soon; I totally know where you are coming from, as I have had those nights too.

_sincerelynina, the first thing I must ask is: have you been to see your doctor to make sure your dizziness is caused by anxiety? If not then for your own reassurance I recommend you do. Felling lightheaded and dizzy and breathlessness are indeed very common symptoms of anxiety but they are not permanent, you will not feel this way for ever.

I think that what's happened to you is that your nerves have become oversensitive and are causing the dizziness which you have been concentrating on and obsessing about too much, we all do it. This constant introspection causes more tension which causes more anxiety and this is what is causing the problem to continue.

To recover you simply have to accept the dizziness for the moment with the minimum of fear, acceptance us the key to recovery. If you accept the dizziness instead of constantly fighting it you stop adding more fear to your sensitive nerves and eventually you will recover. So just lead your life as normal as you can, go for walks and take a minimum amount of notice of the dizziness as you can.

But as I said at the beginning, do see a doctor if you haven't already to rule out the possibility of minor ear problems which can sometimes cause dizziness.

_sincerelynina, It might be a good idea to go back and see your doctor, or maybe another doctor in the practice, and ask for your ears to be examined to see if you have vertigo and for a prescription of tablets that will help with the dizziness. If your doctor insists it's anxiety a second time then accept that diagnosis and start to desensitise your nervous system through the Acceptance method I suggested.
